Through gentle breathwork, meditation and witness consciousness, discover a calmer way
of meeting stress, anxiety, burnout and the constant demands of modern life,
while reconnecting with the quiet awareness that has always been within you.
A Simple Philosophy.
Rise Temple isn’t simply a place.
It is the understanding that there is another way to move through life.
So much of modern life teaches us to strive.
To achieve.
To fix.
To control.
Rise Temple gently invites something different.
To slow down.
To observe.
To breathe.
To recognise that beneath every thought, emotion and experience there isa stillness that has never left you.
You don’t need to become someone new.
You simply begin remembering what has always been there.
IT’S TIME TO ALLOW YOUR INNER TEMPLE TO RISE
Rise Temple… Beyond a Place
Rise Temple may have begun as a physical space, but the practice itself isn't dependent upon where you are.
At its heart is an exploration of our relationship with the mind. Learning to observe thoughts, beliefs and emotions without becoming completely caught within them, while creating space for the body and nervous system to soften.
Through meditation, gentle breathwork and witness consciousness, we begin to recognise the stillness that exists beneath the constant activity of thought.
This can be explored here at Rise Temple, from your own home, or through the deeper immersion of a private retreat.
The setting may change.
The practice remains the same.

What is Witness Consciousness?
Have you ever noticed...
...that your thoughts are constantly changing, yet something within you quietly notices them?
That quiet noticing is what many wisdom traditions describe as witness consciousness.
Rather than becoming caught in every thought or emotion, we begin to recognise the awareness in which they arise.
This isn’t about escaping life.
It’s about experiencing life with greater clarity, compassion and presence.
“When you begin to rest in witness consciousness, you discover that thoughts, emotions and beliefs are experiences you have, not who you are.
From this place of quiet awareness, the inner narrator softens, limiting patterns lose their grip, and a deeper sense of peace naturally begins to emerge.”
Welcome... I’m Amanda Jane
Stillness isn’t something we need to find.
It is already here, beneath the thoughts, stories and constant activity of the mind.
Learning to recognise this quietly changed the way I moved through life, and over time became the foundation of the work I now share with others.
Today I gently guide others towards this same understanding through private retreats, meditation, breathwork and quiet conversation.
My role isn’t to give you the answers.
It’s to create a space where you can begin hearing your own.

Words To Return To...
Sometimes a few quiet words can shift the way we see ourselves.
This space is where I share reflections on stillness, witness consciousness, breath, everyday life and the subtle wisdom that often reveals itself when we slow down enough to notice.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Breathwork is the conscious practice of using the breath to support greater calm, awareness and connection with yourself. At Rise Temple, I use gentle, slow breathing practices designed to encourage the body and mind to soften rather than more intense styles of breathwork.
When life feels overwhelming, the breath can become a simple way of slowing down, settling the nervous system and creating space between you and the constant activity of the mind. With regular practice, breathwork can become a supportive tool for navigating everyday stress, anxious feelings and periods of burnout.
-
Witness consciousness is the awareness that quietly observes your thoughts, emotions and experiences without becoming completely caught up in them.
When you begin to recognise that thoughts are experiences you have, rather than who you are, your relationship with the mind can begin to change. Instead of following every thought or feeding the inner narrator, you learn to observe and allow thoughts to pass naturally. Over time, this creates more space for stillness, clarity and a deeper sense of inner peace.
-
Breathwork consciously uses the breath to influence how you feel physically, mentally and emotionally. Meditation invites you to move beyond controlling the breath and simply become aware of what is present.
At Rise Temple, the two practices gently complement one another. Breathwork can help settle the nervous system and quieten the activity of the mind, while meditation creates space to rest in awareness, observe without judgement and experience stillness more deeply.
-
A daily meditation practice creates a regular opportunity to step away from the activity of the mind, reconnect with the present moment and become more familiar with the stillness within. Even a short practice each day can help you develop greater awareness of your thoughts and emotions, rather than automatically becoming caught up in them.
A dedicated weekly group meditation offers something different. It creates a regular space to pause, deepen your practice and explore meditation and witness consciousness with the support of gentle guidance and shared experience.
Together, daily practice and a weekly guided meditation can help stillness become more than something you experience during meditation. Over time, it begins to influence how you meet everyday life — with greater awareness, presence and a little more space between you and the activity of the mind.

Not at all. Rise Temple experiences are suitable for people who are completely new to breathwork and meditation as well as those who already have an established practice.
Everything is gently guided, with an emphasis on slowing down and allowing the experience to unfold naturally. There is nothing you need to achieve and no particular way you need to feel. You are simply invited to begin exactly where you are.

Rise Temple isn't simply a physical place. It is an invitation to create moments of stillness within everyday life.
Creating your own Rise Temple begins by making a gentle, inviting space in your home where you can slow down, breathe and reconnect with yourself. Through private online breathwork and meditation sessions, you can experience the philosophy and practices of Rise Temple wherever you are, while developing a relationship with stillness that gradually becomes part of everyday life.
-
Yes. Private online breathwork and meditation sessions allow you to experience Rise Temple from the comfort of your own home, wherever you are in the world.
It is important that you have a strong internet connection.
Before your session, I encourage you to create a quiet, comfortable space where you can be undisturbed. This might be as simple as a cushion, blanket, candle and somewhere comfortable to lie down. Your home then becomes part of the experience — your own space to return to whenever you need to slow down and reconnect.
-
No. Rise Temple isn't about adopting a particular belief system or being told what you should believe.
Breathwork, meditation and witness consciousness are explored through your own direct experience. You are invited to breathe, observe, become curious and notice what arises for you. For some people this may become a deeply spiritual exploration; for others it is simply a way to experience greater calm, awareness and presence in everyday life.

Surrounded by nature, the private sanctuary provides a quiet setting away from the demands of everyday life for private breathwork and meditation experiences and personalised retreats. For those unable to visit in person, private online sessions offer another way to experience Rise Temple from home.
When people hear the word burnout, they often think about work.
Long hours. Endless emails. Feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.
But burnout doesn't only affect individuals.
It can quietly impact relationships too.
In fact, many couples experiencing burnout don't realise that's what is happening. They simply feel tired, disconnected, irritable or stuck in the routine of everyday life.
The love may still be there.
The connection may still be there.
But stress has become the background noise.
Over time, that stress can affect the way we communicate, listen, respond and show up for one another.
Understanding the signs of relationship burnout can be the first step towards creating positive change.
